New Board Members 2022

Hello all,


We are excited to announce our new board members!


President - Kathleen "Grace" Frantz, CPM

Grace began her training to become a midwife in 2014 and graduated from Texas Midwifery School in 2018, becoming a CPM that same year. Grace works as a midwife with Special Delivery Birth Center in Tulsa, OK. She believes Midwifery is a calling and is passionate about supporting each woman as they achieve their birth goals for a safe and beautiful birth.


Secretary - Hannah Hassen, CPM

Hannah began her training to become a midwife in 2013 and graduated from the US National College of Midwifery with an Associate of Science in Midwifery in 2015, becoming a CPM that same year. Hannah works as a midwife with Community Midwifery Services in Norman OK. Hannah is excited to serve the OMA as Security. Hannah holds a deep respect for women’s bodies and innate wisdom to guide them through their pregnancy, labor and birth. She loves being there to share in the sweat, tears, joy and love, as well as making sure progress stays within the normal limits of safety, so that women can have a safe and fulfilling birth.


Treasurer - Gail Brown, CPM

Gail began training to become a midwife in 1984 and completed the Association of Texas Midwife Certification Program that year and later passed the NARM and became a CPM in 1996. Gail is a co-founder of the OMA and has been serving on the board since the beginning in 1985. Gail works as a midwife at Community Midwifery Services, she believes that birth is a natural life occurrence and that women can birth their babies. She sees her role as a caregiver to the woman, to guard and educate, focusing on providing sound advice and good nutrition as the road to a safe birth and a healthy baby. Midwife means “with woman,” and Gail loves being with you.
